About Breon
License #: LPC015437Hello, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Registered Play Therapist (RPT). I see children as young as 4, adolescents, and young adults. I consider myself to be a curious, encouraging, and warm therapist who focuses deeply on understanding your inner calling for a change. I strive for therapy to be a space that allows for the creative, searching, and hurting to be seen, supported, and valued.
My Therapeutic Approach
The therapeutic approach I employ varies depending on age but is rooted in believing the client deserves acceptance, compassion, and encouragement. I enjoy using play, humor, art, and the outdoors to support growth in meaningful ways. The therapeutic focus is on uncovering and nurturing what is hurting, while also navigating the ever-changing waters of your life, which may include relationships, life stressors, and difficult past experiences. I believe therapy is perspective-shifting and insightful, with your therapeutic goal always being at the forefront.
Who I Help Best
I work with individuals who are overwhelmed with significant life changes, experience feelings of worry, are self-critical, and may feel disconnected from the world around them. This space is also for families who have experiencing an overwhelming event and doubt how to support their hurting child.
What a First Session Is Like
In the first session, we discuss current concerns, what brings you into therapy, and the structure of treatment. Some questions will be asked to better understand who you are and what you are looking for. You are welcome to share as much as you like as this is the time for us to see if we are a good fit. Therapy is collaborative and personalized, therefore, the structure may look different for each person.
