About Ashlyne
License #: 89802I earned my B.S. degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Texas A&M University (gig ‘em!) in 2019 and my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Hardin-Simmons University in 2022. A little about me outside of the therapy room: I’m a proud ISFJ and Enneagram 6w5—aka “The Defender.” I’m a big reader and will often recommend both fiction and nonfiction books to my clients. When I’m not reading, you can find me spending time with my family, hanging out with my pup, crocheting, or planning my next trip (traveling is one of my favorite things!).
My Therapeutic Approach
In session, you can expect a space that’s collaborative, nonjudgmental, and supportive. This is a place where all emotions are welcome (even the messy ones!). My aim is to help you. The therapeutic relationship is a partnership, and I'm committed to walking alongside you on your journey of self-exploration and growth. It would be an honor to work with you!
Who I Help Best
I support people navigating life’s layers—relationships, transitions, past experiences, and self-worth. With South Asian heritage, I understand complex cultural and family dynamics. I’m especially passionate about supporting teens & young adults, women, and the BIPOC & LGBTQIA+ communities, and I’m EMDR-trained to support healing at a safe, empowering pace.
What a First Session Is Like
Hi there! I know that finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, and I’m here to make that process a little easier. In my practice, I value the therapeutic relationship as the spark that helps growth and healing unfold. I also love that having fun and exploring new things together in the therapy space is totally encouraged! Everyone’s path is unique, so we’ll tailor our work to make sure you’re getting exactly what you need from your time in counseling. I want to empower you to be your most authentic self during our work together. Whether we’re digging deep or celebrating the small wins, I’m here for all of it!
