About Christin
License #: 93281You did everything you were supposed to, so why doesn't life make sense anymore? Anxiety may seem ever present or relationships may seem disconnected. You might be exhausted from quietly carrying responsibility. Perhaps grief has changed the way you see the world. Whatever brought you here, my goal is to help you understand why life feels the way it does and discover a path forward that fits you. Before becoming a therapist, I spent 15 years in business and healthcare. That experience still shapes the way I work today, giving me a deep appreciation for the pressure, responsibility, and expectations many people quietly carry. Today, I work with individuals and couples experiencing anxiety, burnout, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, professional stress, and seasons when what you've learned about faith no longer fits what you've lived. Many of my clients are the dependable ones—the people others count on, often at the expense of themselves. Outside the office, you'll usually find me spending time with the people I love, exploring the outdoors with my dog, Soda Pop, or climbing back into my kayak after discovering...once again...that I'm not nearly as graceful as I'd like to believe.

My Therapeutic Approach
Your experience will begin by understanding and putting language to the story underneath your struggles. Our struggles almost always make sense when we understand the story behind them. For many people, this brings the first sense of relief. We often want to know, "How do I make this stop?" Research has consistently shown that emotions serve important adaptive functions. When we learn to understand and regulate them, they become valuable resources rather than something to fear or eliminate. So, we'll work to understand what they're communicating and why they've become so overwhelming. Once we understand the story, we can begin changing the responses that no longer serve you. From there, we'll focus on integration. Rather than feeling controlled by your emotions, you'll begin to use them for clarifying your values, strengthening your relationships, making decisions, and building a life that aligns with who you are.
Who I Help Best
If you have reached a point where life no longer makes sense. Or if you find the way you have always done things doesn't seem to work anymore, we are likely a good therapy fit. You may be carrying responsibilities no one else fully sees. You're the dependable one at work, in your family, or in your relationships. You are likely responsible for a lot - people, processes, tasks, etc. From the outside you appear capable, even when you think your cracks are starting to show. Inside, you're exhausted from holding everything together. You may be starting to doubt what you have always known about yourself, your work, your relationships, or God. It all seems disorienting, but you know one thing. Something about your life is no longer making sense like it used to. Whether I'm working with you individually or as part of a couple, my focus is helping you understand why life seems different. Together we'll begin making sense of the patterns, experiences, and relationships that have shaped where you are today so you can move toward where you want to be tomorrow. If you're looking for quick advice or a step-by-step formula, I may not be the best fit. But if you're looking for a thoughtful place to better understand yourself, your relationships, and your next steps, I think you'll find our work together meaningful.
What a First Session Is Like
Many of my clients leave the first session feeling lighter and more hopeful because they finally have words for what they've been experiencing, a clearer understanding of what's been happening, and a better sense of where they're headed. Nothing has changed yet, but for many people, the first session makes something tangible out of the vague. This can be the first layer of relief. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you're used to handling things on your own. My goal is to make your first session feel like a conversation, not an interview. You don't need to have your thoughts organized before you arrive. If you're unsure where to begin or how to explain what's been happening, you can leave that to me. I'll help guide the conversation, ask thoughtful questions, and together we'll begin making sense of what's bringing you here. For much of our time together, I'll give you the space to talk without rushing, interrupting, or expecting you to have everything figured out. Whether your thoughts come out in order or all at once, we'll sort through them together.
