About Kelly

License #: 84686

Hi, I’m Kelly—a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with a passion for helping women overcome anxiety, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and the weight of trying to do it all. My clients often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stretched too thin, and unsure how to prioritize themselves without guilt. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to keep navigating it on your own. I specialize in supporting women across the lifespan who are tired of running on empty, questioning their worth, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Whether you're adjusting to a life transition, managing the mental load of caregiving or work stress, or just feeling burned out by expectations (internal or external), therapy can help you find relief, clarity, and direction. I show up as my authentic self so you can, too. Clients often describe my presence as warm, calming, and down-to-earth—with space for real talk, humor, and meaningful healing. I hold a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology and certifications in anxiety and grief informed care. I’m committed to helping you navigate complex emotions, build resilience, and create lasting change. My goal is to make therapy a space where you feel safe, supported, and empowered to grow in ways that truly matter to you.

My Therapeutic Approach

My approach to therapy is integrative, compassionate, and tailored to you. I draw from evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you notice patterns, make sense of your emotions, and build a life aligned with your values. We’ll work collaboratively—meaning you’re not just talking, you’re actively learning tools and applying insights to real situations in your life. I believe therapy should feel grounding, not overwhelming. So, I balance structure with flexibility: We’ll set goals together and move at a pace that feels safe and effective. I often help clients build self-awareness around their thoughts, nervous system responses, and emotional habits, while also practicing new behaviors that bring relief and confidence. Our sessions may include gentle challenges to unhelpful patterns, real-time coping strategies, self-compassion practices, or values-based decision-making—whatever helps you feel less stuck and more empowered. Therapy with me is a judgment-free zone where you can take up space, show up imperfectly, and start becoming more of who you want to be.

Who I Help Best

I work best with women who are done pretending they’re fine when they’re not—and are ready to finally take care of themselves the way they care for everyone else. My ideal clients are bright, caring, and incredibly hard on themselves. They’ve spent years people-pleasing, over-functioning, and second-guessing their worth. Underneath it all, there’s often unprocessed grief, anxiety, and shame—especially for those who grew up with emotionally unavailable or critical caregivers. You might be navigating a big life transition, overwhelmed by stress, burnt out from trying to do it all, or struggling with anxiety that shows up as overthinking, control-seeking, or procrastination. You may feel disconnected from your own voice and unsure how to say “no” without guilt. You may look like you have it all together—but inside, you’re tired, anxious, and craving change. If you want to stop running on fumes, quiet your inner critic, and build a life that feels more you—therapy can help. And I’d be honored to walk that path with you.

What a First Session Is Like

Your first session, also called the intake, is all about setting the stage for our work together. We’ll walk through your paperwork, go over policies and expectations, and I’ll ask about your background, stressors, current concerns, and what led you to seek therapy. You don’t have to have everything figured out—that’s what I’m here for. This session is structured, but warm and conversational. You can share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with. We’ll also start identifying your goals and get a feel for what support you’re looking for. Whether you're focused on anxiety, boundary setting, grief, relationship patterns, or just trying to make sense of your stress—I want to understand your unique story, not just your symptoms. I typically recommend starting with weekly sessions for the first 6–8 weeks to build momentum. From there, we’ll adjust based on your needs and progress. Some clients meet goals in a few months, while others value ongoing support for the deeper work and space therapy provides. Either way, I’ll meet you with compassion, honesty, and a personalized approach that honors where you are and where you want to go.
