About Patricia
License #: 91118I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor with a master’s degree in clinical counseling from the University of Kentucky. I bring more than 15 years of combined experience in rehabilitation, counseling, and helping individuals overcome personal and professional challenges. My approach is compassionate, engaging, trauma-informed, and solution-oriented. I strive to create a safe, respectful environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to recognize their strengths, develop healthier coping skills, and make meaningful changes. I work with both adults and couples. As a licensed therapist, author, and survivor of sexual exploitation, I bring both personal experience and professional expertise to help others heal from the trauma of power abuse. My book, Cancel Your Imprisonment (On Amazon), sheds light on overcoming betrayal & reclaiming personal strength.
My Therapeutic Approach
I tailor therapy to each client's unique needs and goals. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns. I incorporate trauma-informed approaches to safely process painful experiences and promote healing. Solution-Focused Therapy helps clients build on their strengths, set achievable goals, and create meaningful change. My modalities are: Christian Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Integrative, Person-Centered, Positive Psychology, Psychodynamic, Reality Therapy Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), and Trauma Focused Therapy.

What a First Session Is Like
Your first therapy session is a welcoming, confidential space for us to begin getting to know one another. We will discuss what brought you to therapy, the challenges you are experiencing, your personal history, strengths, and what you hope to accomplish. I will explain my therapeutic approach, answer your questions, and work with you to identify initial goals for treatment. You are always in control of what you choose to share, and we will move at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you.
