About Rhonda
License #: 89303Hi, I’m glad you’re here. I’m an EMDR certified, licensed professional counselor who believes real growth starts with curiosity, compassion, and a little bit of courage. Therapy with me is more than just managing symptoms—it’s about building a life that feels balanced, resilient, and truly yours. Throughout my life, I have had a desire to help others. So, at the ripe of age of 50 I went back to graduate school to pursue my life-long dream of becoming a counselor. My unique blend of life experience, contemporary education, and a passion for helping others allows me to deeply understand and guide clients toward meaningful change. Here are some adjectives people use to describe me: caring, fun-loving, quirky, accepting, easy-to-talk-to, open-minded, compassionate, adventurous, warm, engaging, pleasant, tender-hearted, curious, empathetic. Clients often share that they “feel heard” and that “you get it.”

My Therapeutic Approach
What truly sets my work apart is the use of transformational therapies, such as EMDR, Ego State Therapy, and the Flash Four-Blinks technique to customize an approach that is effective for you. Using these evidence-based therapies, I work with you to process past wounds, navigate present challenges, and uncover the strengths that help you move forward. I take a warm, collaborative approach that gives you a safe space to explore patterns, process challenges, and build on what’s already working. Together, we’ll blend practical tools with deeper reflection to help you move through life’s struggles, find your balance, and create a life that feels good to live. My hope is that you leave each session feeling grounded, encouraged, and connected to what matters most. I believe therapy is more than just talking—it’s about real growth and lasting change.
Who I Help Best
I’m a good fit for individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves, even when life looks “fine” on the outside. Many people are highly functioning, but struggle internally with anxiety, trauma, attachment wounds, or long-standing relational patterns. If you are looking for more than symptom relief and want deeper insight, meaningful change, and a steadier, more authentic way of living you’re in the right place.
What a First Session Is Like
Our first session is all about getting to know one another. I’ll ask some gentle, foundational questions about your life, childhood, and current challenges. You’re always in control—share only what feels comfortable, and feel free to skip anything you’re not ready to discuss. This helps me gain a fuller understanding of who you are and what you’ve experienced. You’re also welcome to ask me any questions you may have. If it feels right, we can begin talking about your goals for therapy and what you hope to gain from our work together. We move at your pace—no pressure, no judgment—just a collaborative process grounded in safety and respect.
