About Sarah
License #: 101171I’m Sarah, a therapist who values curiosity and complexity. I created Inner Archive Therapy for people who may not see themselves reflected in more traditional therapy spaces. The practice is inspired by old libraries, archives, natural history, and a bit of the strange and unusual. My style is integrative and a little unconventional. I’m comfortable with complexity and don’t expect you to simplify your story or make your experiences easier to understand before bringing them into therapy. I want therapy to feel like a space where you can bring the complicated, contradictory, difficult-to-name, and deeply human parts of yourself without having to make them more presentable first. My philosophy is simple, "No Parts Discarded." Supervised by Bonnie Scott, LPC-S and Dr. Robyn Flores, LMFT-S

My Therapeutic Approach
My approach is trauma-focused, integrative, and collaborative. Depending on the client, I may use EMDR, ego state therapy, structural dissociation theory, ACT, or existential therapy. With trauma and dissociation, I prioritize stabilization, pacing, and building communication with protective parts before moving into deeper processing. I use EMDR adapted for complex trauma and dissociation, including more gradual and fractionated approaches when appropriate. I view dissociation as an adaptive response rather than something to eliminate, and when working with DID or OSDD, I never treat fusion as a required goal. Throughout therapy, I make room for complexity, contradiction, identity, and the broader systems and experiences that have shaped how someone learned to survive. The goal is not to discard parts of yourself, but to develop greater understanding, choice, connection, and capacity to live in ways that feel meaningful.
Who I Help Best
I work best with teens (ages 16+) and adults who have been through complex or prolonged experiences and are looking for a therapist who is comfortable with complexity. Many of the people I work with experience dissociation, complex trauma, chronic illness or pain, religious trauma, identity-related concerns, or the effects of being dismissed or misunderstood by systems meant to help them. I especially enjoy working with neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ clients, people with DID/OSDD or other dissociative experiences, and those whose experiences don’t fit neatly into one box.
What a First Session Is Like
Our first session is a full intake where we’ll begin building a more complete picture of what brings you to therapy, relevant history, current concerns, and what you’d like to work toward. Fidgets, doodling, changing positions, and other forms of movement are welcome in session.
