I am an experienced clinical social worker with over 25 years in the helping professions and nearly 20 years in private practice. I work in depth with adults across many life stages and value a collaborative approach that feels thoughtful, grounded, and encouraging. Earlier in my career, I was a middle school English teacher. Reading the fairy tales my students wrote sparked a lasting interest in how people make meaning of their lives and how personal stories shape the way we think, feel, and act. Over time, this led me to pursue advanced training in psychotherapy. Clients often describe me as a good listener who is practical and reflective, helping them sort through what matters most and find a way forward that feels right to them.

At times, images, dreams, or attention to the body can offer another way into understanding when words alone are not enough.

I may ask questions to better understand your situation, and you’re always welcome to ask questions as well. By the end of the session, most people have a clearer sense of whether this feels like a good fit and how therapy might support them moving forward.
