About Whitney

License #: 108714

You might look like you’re holding it together on the outside, but inside you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure of yourself. Maybe you’re constantly second-guessing your decisions, stuck in people-pleasing patterns, or trying to make sense of relationships that left you feeling confused, dismissed, or emotionally drained. I work with women who are tired of pushing through and ready to understand what’s actually underneath their anxiety, self-doubt, or emotional exhaustion. Many of my clients have experienced emotionally unsafe or invalidating relationships, whether that showed up in family dynamics, romantic partnerships, or long-term relational stress that slowly chipped away at their sense of self-trust. You don’t need to label your experiences as “trauma” to belong here. If something shaped how safe you feel, how you relate to others, or how you see yourself, it matters. My goal is to help you feel more grounded in your body, clearer in your decisions, and more connected to who you really are. Therapy with me is collaborative, honest, and paced with care. You don’t need to have the right words or a clear plan. We’ll figure things out together. I offer in-person therapy in Dallas and virtual therapy across Texas.

My Therapeutic Approach

I use a trauma-informed, relational approach that focuses on both insight and nervous system regulation. I integrate EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and somatic therapy to help clients process stuck experiences, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and reconnect with their bodies in a safer, more grounded way. Rather than only talking about what’s happening, we pay attention to how your body responds, what patterns show up in relationships, and what your nervous system learned over time. This allows for deeper healing, not just short-term coping. Therapy is active and collaborative, but never rushed. We’ll move at a pace that feels steady and supportive.

Who I Help Best

I work best with women who feel anxious, disconnected, or chronically unsure of themselves, even if things look “fine” from the outside. You might notice patterns like people-pleasing, overthinking, difficulty trusting your own decisions, or feeling emotionally guarded in relationships. Many of my clients have histories of emotionally unsafe, inconsistent, or invalidating relationships, including experiences that were subtle, confusing, or hard to name. You may be questioning your reactions, minimizing what you went through, or wondering why certain situations still affect you. You don’t need a clear trauma narrative to start therapy. Curiosity, honesty, and a desire for change are enough.

What a First Session Is Like

The first session is a chance for us to slow things down and get oriented. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and what feels hardest right now. There’s no pressure to share everything at once or explain your story perfectly. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, reflect what I’m noticing, and help us begin identifying patterns or themes. We’ll also talk about how therapy works, what feels supportive for you, and what you need to feel safe moving forward. Most clients leave the first session feeling understood, relieved, and clearer about next steps, even if nothing feels “solved” yet.
