About Dr. Julie

License #: 68579

I'm Dr. Julie Gray, PsyD, LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker in California and Texas with a doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy. My advanced training allows me to understand healing not only from an individual perspective, but also within the context of relationships, family systems, and the experiences that shape us over time. I'm passionate about helping people move beyond survival mode and create lasting, meaningful change. My work is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and the belief that healing is possible when we address both the mind and the body. I strive to create a space where clients don't have to perform, explain, or carry everything alone. Together, we explore the experiences that have shaped you, strengthen your connection with yourself, and build practical tools that support healing long after therapy sessions end. Whether we're working through trauma, navigating a life transition, or reconnecting with your authentic self, my goal is to provide a thoughtful, collaborative, and transformative therapeutic experience that helps you build a life that feels more grounded, connected, and aligned.

My Therapeutic Approach

I believe healing happens when insight is paired with intentional action, nervous system regulation, and a strong therapeutic relationship. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and thoughtfully tailored to each person's unique needs and goals. I integrate evidence-based therapies including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with mindfulness and somatic approaches to help clients understand patterns, process difficult experiences, and reconnect with themselves. When clinically appropriate, I may also incorporate Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) as part of a comprehensive treatment plan to support deeper therapeutic work. Because healing is not one-size-fits-all, I also draw from integrative modalities—including meditation, sound healing, Reiki, and ancestral healing—when they align with a client's values, beliefs, and treatment goals. My goal is to support healing of the mind, body, and spirit while helping clients create meaningful, lasting change.

Who I Help Best

I work best with adults who are ready to move beyond simply coping and begin healing at the root. Many of my clients are high-achieving professionals, caregivers, or individuals who have spent years being "the strong one" for everyone else. I specialize in working with trauma, anxiety, burnout, life transitions, relationship challenges, and patterns that continue to resurface despite insight or previous therapy. My practice is especially well suited for clients seeking a thoughtful, integrative approach that combines evidence-based therapy with deeper mind-body healing. In addition to individual therapy, I offer The Pathways Experience—extended, immersive therapy intensives for those seeking focused, transformational work—and Recalibration Experiences, my small-group healing experiences designed to foster connection, insight, and lasting change in a supportive therapeutic environment. For clients who may benefit from it and when clinically appropriate, I may also incorporate or offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) as part of a comprehensive treatment plan. Whether we're working together individually, in an immersive experience, or within a Recalibration Experience, my goal is to help you move beyond symptom management toward deeper healing, greater self-understanding, and lasting transformation.

What a First Session Is Like

Your first session is an opportunity to begin building the foundation for our work together. Because we've already met for a consultation and determined that we're a good fit, we'll spend this time gaining a deeper understanding of your history, current concerns, strengths, and goals for therapy. Prior to our first appointment, you'll complete several intake forms and clinical assessments. During our session, we'll review the results together, discuss what they tell us about your experiences, and answer any questions you may have. This collaborative process helps us develop a personalized treatment plan that reflects your unique needs, goals, and priorities. The initial session is typically a **90-minute comprehensive clinical evaluation**, allowing us the time to explore your story with care rather than rushing through it. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported as we begin a thoughtful and intentional path toward healing.
