About Nicole

License #: 38623

Hello! I am Dr. Nicole Fisher, and I have been engaging in therapy services for 10+ years . I received my undergraduate education at the University of California, Santa Barbara followed by my Master’s at Argosy University in Orange, California. I completed my training at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2019. I am originally from Dallas and decided to come back home to be closer to family. You can expect therapy with me to be flexible, personalized, and potentially even enjoyable. I pride myself on creating a genuine human connection with a wide range of different people.

My Therapeutic Approach

I use an integrative approach to therapy, meaning I use techniques from several different modalities. I am flexible in how I operate and will tailor treatment to the individual’s preferences. Modalities I frequently use include cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and trauma informed therapy. I strive to always be up to date on current research and make sure to research specific information that applies to my clients.

Who I Help Best

I enjoy working with people at all stages of life, particularly with anxiety management, low self-esteem, and trauma. I enjoy working with diverse individuals and am particularly passionate about working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I show up as my full quirky self, and appreciate clients that are willing to be their full authentic selves.

What a First Session Is Like

The first session is part of what we consider the assessment phase, where I focus on what brings you into therapy at this time and what you hope to achieve. The first few sessions focus on developing a connection and making sure I am a good fit for what you need. Once a clear picture of presenting concerns has been created, I start providing education and techniques specific to the individuals needs.
