About Latreece
License #: 79849If you’re not feeling like your best self right now—if sadness, anxiety, grief, or even hopelessness is weighing you down—please know this: you are not alone, and healing is possible. You deserve a space where your voice is heard, your story is honored, and your soul is safe. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I walk alongside adolescents, couples, and families through seasons of pain, growth, and transformation. Whether you're navigating life transitions, coping with grief, healing from trauma, or managing depression and anxiety, I bring both compassion and expertise to guide your journey. My foundation in trauma-informed care was shaped by my years as a School Counselor with Dallas ISD and further deepened through my work with the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County. These experiences taught me that healing is not a straight path—but a sacred one. In our sessions, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan that speaks to your needs. My schedule offers flexibility, including evenings and weekends because I know life doesn’t pause when we need help the most. Transformation doesn’t happen overnight, but with each step forward, you reclaim more of yourself. You are worthy of peace, joy, and the life you envision. Let’s walk toward that future together!

My Therapeutic Approach
At LaTreece Ross Counseling Services, therapy is client-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based. I integrate Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical coping skills. Therapy is collaborative and respectful, with an emphasis on emotional safety, healthy boundaries, resilience, and personal empowerment. My goal is to support clients in gaining clarity, healing from past experiences, and moving forward with confidence and balance.
Who I Help Best
I work best with teens, adults, couples, families, and senior adults who are navigating life transitions, emotional challenges, and relational stressors. I have extensive experience supporting women and men facing identity concerns, relationship issues, work-related stress, caregiver burnout, people-pleasing patterns, and boundary challenges. I specialize in working with clients impacted by trauma, including parents and teens involved with CPS, foster care, and adoption, as well as adolescents facing academic difficulties, self-esteem concerns, and identity development issues. I also support individuals and families coping with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and ongoing emotional overwhelm. My approach is collaborative, affirming, and trauma-informed, creating a safe space for clients seeking clarity, healing, and sustainable emotional growth.
What a First Session Is Like
Your first session is a time for us to get to know one another and begin building a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any concerns or questions you may have. You are welcome to share at your own pace—there is no pressure to talk about everything at once. I will review important information such as confidentiality, therapy expectations, and how we will work together. Together, we will begin identifying areas of focus and next steps that feel comfortable and manageable for you. The first session is not about being judged or “fixed.” It is about feeling heard, respected, and supported as we begin your healing journey.
