About Zach
License #: 79506I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy. When you give yourself the gift of therapy, you give yourself the best chance at a fulfilling life. I help adults, single parents, and any family system balance the connection between mind, body, and spirit. As a therapist, I strive to be the mediator that propels others forward. My goal is to help others tap into their flow state and become their optimal selves. This is possible by acknowledging how our prior experiences have shaped us, conditioning our strongest beliefs about ourselves and others. We become our best when we begin to heal from this conditioning and forge a new way of living that serves needs without taking away from others. Anyone working with me will undoubtedly experience feeling of being truly heard, seen, understood, informed, challenged, and given a space to freely express thoughts and feelings without judgement or condemnation. Clients will be able to increase their awareness of self, identify barriers to progress, and be equipped with the skills necessary to cope with presenting problems.
My Therapeutic Approach
I use a variety of approaches to help people resolve any challenges they are currently facing including ACT, CBT, DBT, and REBT. Just like the body tries to stay in balance and keep itself at homeostasis, like warming or cooling the body temperature to maintain 98.6 degrees, the mind will do the same thing. I use Free Association which encourages the client to allow their mind to bring up what the most important or relevant topic is to process. Some may present thinking anxiety or anger is the problem, but the mind will bring up stress at work or relationship dynamics as the core of the issue automatically. So each session is unique in that way where we can go in any direction based on current needs while building on previous discussions.
Who I Help Best
I generally work with adults ranging from 20+ to 70 years old. I specialize with anxiety, depression, anger, grief, attachment issues, and stress management. I typically do not work with client who's primary issue is substance abuse or eating disorders. Clients have a lot of success when they are willing to change and take action on the conclusions of our discussions.
What a First Session Is Like
Our first session will be an easy way of getting to know each other. You will have already completed an intake questionnaire that eliminates a lot of the Q&A in the beginning. However, we will discuss what to expect in therapy, identify goals, privacy standards, and fees.
