About Sandy
License #: 6801092181Are you feeling overwhelmed, fearful, worried, as you navigate life's challenges and changes? Do you feel stuck in procrastination, perfectionism or people pleasing patterns? Individual therapy can assist you as you find your way, You don't have to navigate all of it alone. Hi, I'm Sandy, a licensed therapist and social worker (LMSW) who supports adults, teens, and couples navigating life transitions, grief and loss, mood disorders, and burnout. I bring a deep respect for neurodivergent ways of thinking and being into my work with ADHD and Autistic adults. Using Internal Family Systems (parts work), I help clients understand the protective patterns that developed for good reasons and build on their inherent strengths to create a life aligned with their own values. My goal is to provide compassionate guidance and assist clients in achieving personal growth and well-being.

My Therapeutic Approach
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in compassion and curiosity. I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) and nervous-system-informed practices, honoring the understanding that different brains process and respond in different ways. Together, we make sense of your emotions and patterns without judgment, moving at a pace that feels steady and supportive while building deeper self-understanding and resilience. I am trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS-level 1 trained) and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) and integrate Internal Family Systems into this experiential work. In partnership with horses, clients explore patterns, strengthen self-trust, and support nervous system regulation in a relational, body-based way. This approach can be especially supportive for neurodivergent clients who resonate with relational and sensory-informed experiences. I partner with Exhale Farm in Metamora, MI for EAP services.
Who I Help Best
I work best with adults — including neurodivergent adults — who feel overwhelmed by their emotions, stuck in old patterns, or moving through challenging experiences like mood changes, life transitions, burnout or grief. I offer a space where your ways of thinking, feeling, and processing are respected and welcomed. Many of my clients are thoughtful and capable but struggle to extend the same compassion to themselves that they offer others. If you’re ready for deeper self-understanding and steady, meaningful change, we’ll likely be a good fit.
What a First Session Is Like
In our first session, we’ll explore what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from our work together. We’ll move at your pace, and you’re welcome to share only what feels comfortable. There’s no rush and no agenda beyond understanding what feels most important to you. Please note I have limited in person availability on Tuesdays only. Telehealth sessions are available during the rest of the weekdays. I accept Medicaid and Priority Health in addition to the insurances listed below. Check with your insurance provider to be sure I am in-network.
