About Michelle
License #: 2789I am a licensed clinical psychologist and received my doctorate in psychology from Stony Brook University in New York. I have worked for over twenty-five years with neurodivergent children and adults in a variety of settings in both New York and Tennessee. I am a member of the American Psychological Association, the Tennessee Psychological Association, and Autism Tennessee. I am listed on the National Register of Health Service Psychologists and have Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) as granted by the PSYPACT commission in participating states (APIT #7992, issued 5/2021). During my free time, I spend as much time as possible outdoors in my garden or hiking.

My Therapeutic Approach
I provide neuroaffirming therapy to teens and adults and testing for children, teens, and adults. My wellness approach is influenced by training in acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, mindfulness techniques, and relaxation and stress reduction strategies. While individuals on the spectrum have myriad strengths, many also experience anxiety or depression, or need to talk to someone to better understand their experiences.
Who I Help Best
I provide comprehensive evaluations for children, teens and adults. In therapy, I work particularly well with neurodivergent teens and adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, or chronic health conditions. I welcome all forms of diversity, including individuals with a variety of learning styles, families from all cultural, religious and/or spiritual backgrounds, as well as the diversity of sexual and gender identities.
What a First Session Is Like
I tailor therapy and evaluations to the specific needs of each individual. In our first session, we will start to get to know each other and begin to collaborate on a personalized approach to your therapy. You have a choice of in office therapy, walk and talk therapy (meet at a local park), and telehealth therapy (available for residents of Tennessee and states participating in PSYPACT). Some evaluations are also available by telehealth.
