About Diana
License #: 2078Becoming a therapist was my second and chosen career over a decade ago. Before entering the field, I spent many years working as a consultant and experienced firsthand the value of therapy in my own life. Those experiences shaped the therapist I am today. I bring both clinical training, experience as a therapist and life experience to my work. I've been married for over 20 years, am the parent of two adult children, and continue to believe that our greatest opportunities for growth often come through our relationships. Clients often describe me as warm, genuine, engaged, and deeply curious. I strive to create a space where you feel safe enough to bring your whole self—without fear of judgment.
My Therapeutic Approach
I believe people make sense in the context of their life experiences. My role isn't to judge or tell you who you should be, but to help you become curious about yourself in new ways. We will explore the beliefs, emotions, and protective strategies that developed for good reasons, while discovering whether they still serve the life and relationships you want today. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel deeply understood while also being gently challenged to grow. Understanding precedes change.
Who I Help Best
Here are the questions that I find myself helping individual clients answer: -Why do I keep doing the same thing over and over? -Why do I react this way when part of me knows I don't want to and it doesn't help? -Why is it so hard for me to ask for what I need? -Why do I feel responsible for everyone else feelings? -Why do I feel guilty when I choose myself? -How do I not lose myself in a relationship? -Can I stay true to myself without hurting the people I love? -Why do I believe I'm not enough at work, in my family and my relationships? -If I let go of these ways of protecting myself, will I lose everything important to me? I help couples with these questions: -Why do we keep having the same fight? -Why can't we hear each other, even when we're trying? -How do we stay connected without one of us disappearing? -How do I tell the truth without destroying the relationship? -How do I love this person without losing myself?
