About Jordan
License #: 2158Originally from central Indiana, but I’ve made Nashville my home over the past 10 years. Prior to my work as a therapist, I spent several years working in a non-profit setting with kids and young families. Additionally, I have experience working with families who have experienced foster care, adoption, separation, divorce, and blended families. With a desire to be equipped to do more in-depth and meaningful work with families, I went on to pursue my Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy at Lipscomb University. In my free time I enjoy long runs, playing pickle ball, spending time with family and friends, and finding any reason to get outside.
My Therapeutic Approach
Are you overwhelmed by intrusive thoughts and constantly fixated on the worst case scenario? Do some days feel too overwhelming to start? Do you want to just feel "normal" again? Don't wait any longer to find that calm and quiet mind you've been craving. Together we can identify your core fears, learn to fight (and quiet) those intrusive thoughts, and equip you to strategically manage ADHD. I am confident we can find your calm and quiet mind, build up your confidence to face each day, and teach you the most effective executive-functioning strategies. I practice an integrative, evidence-based approach to therapy incorporating family systems theory, common factors, solution focused, cognitive-behavioral, and strength-based interventions.
Who I Help Best
I am passionate about walking alongside teen and adult women struggling with anxiety and ADHD. I am eager to get to the root of your anxieties while equipping you with the tools you need to manage the day-to-day anxiety and stress you are experiencing.
What a First Session Is Like
In our first session, we will focus on getting to know each other. Lots of questions and background info! My top priority is learning about you and what brought you into therapy with the goal of building a strong therapeutic foundation for us to work from. Before leaving, we will set a couple of goals together so that I can gain an understanding of what you hope to see change throughout our time together.
