About Lacey
License #: 2811My love for humans led me here—first as a seeker, then as a storyteller, and now as a therapist. Before earning my master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Lipscomb University and opening the doors of Power Haven Therapy, I spent over a decade as a nationally recognized mental health and relationships journalist. I wrote for leading platforms including Oprah Daily, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, and Apple News, translating cutting-edge research and soulful insights into powerful, real-world solutions. I collaborated with some of the most influential voices in mental health and personal growth: spiritual thought leaders like Deepak Chopra, Gabby Bernstein, and Julia Cameron, neuroscientists like Dr. Caroline Leaf, and psychologists like Dr. Shefali Tsabary, best known for her trailblazing work on conscious parenting. Together, we helped bring attachment science, emotional intelligence, and inner child work into the mainstream. These experiences sparked a passion in me for understanding the power of attachment and the brilliance of the human brain and nervous system, and pointed me toward the virtues of post-traumatic growth. Eventually, I felt called to midwife healing and transformation—not just describe it Today, with science, humility, and heart, I approach my work as a therapist with devout seriousness, joy, and care, and will never stop being a student of the human experience.

My Therapeutic Approach
Long before I became a trauma-focused therapist, I was a client. I know what it feels like to be chin-deep in pain—and to wonder if it’ll ever end. The truth is: yes, it can —not because therapy takes your problems away, but because it changes the ways you collaborate with them. My approach is warm, compassionate, and empowering—blending science-backed modalities like internal family systems (IFS), restoration therapy (RT), Gottman Method, and Brainspotting with sacred presence, creativity, and a deep respect for the body’s wisdom. More sanctuary than clinical appointment, this aims to be a return to your wholeness. It's where healing isn't just possible, but also energizing and joyful.
Who I Help Best
If you’re done with surface solutions and are aching for deep, embodied transformation—you’ve landed in the right place. I specialize in burnout, self-worth, trauma recovery, and the relationship patterns that quietly sabotage your power. I'm for those who are fed-up and ready to reclaim—their peace, their voice, their presence, their life.
What a First Session Is Like
Therapy is often much less intimidating and far more light and enjoyable than some might assume! During our first session, I’ll explore your concerns, expectations, and goals for therapy, and cover any questions you may have. Next, I’ll gently begin to unearth the story of you—meeting your history of influences, challenges, dreams, and experiences with curiosity. I might learn about your family, relationships, and culture, including patterns and traumas you’ve endured to the ways in which you find joy, meaning, and strength. Regardless of how it unfolds, it’ll be fully in service to your healing and life goals. This is to say, I’ll never ask you to travel to a place you’re not yet ready to go. Finally, I’ll make sure you don’t walk out of my door without leaving with a supportive tool to begin folding into your life immediately. As your therapist, I don’t take your trust in me lightly, and I want you to feel and experience results as quickly as possible!
