About Bharati
License #: 6530I'm Bharati, a Doctor of Physical Therapy who believes healing happens when the body and mind are supported together. I provide compassionate, individualized care for people living with chronic pain, pelvic health concerns, and nervous system-related symptoms. My goal is to help you feel heard, regain confidence in your body, and move toward lasting health and well-being.
My Therapeutic Approach
My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and centered on your unique goals. I recognize that pain, stress, trauma, and life transitions can affect both the body and the nervous system, so I take time to listen, understand your story, and tailor treatment to your individual needs. Sessions may include hands-on physical therapy, movement, breathing, yoga-based techniques, and nervous system regulation strategies to help reduce pain, improve function, and restore confidence in your body. Together, we'll create a plan that feels safe, practical, and supportive of your long-term health and well-being.
Who I Help Best
Many people think pelvic health is only for pregnancy, postpartum recovery, or bladder leakage—but it includes so much more. Because the pelvis is closely connected to the spine, hips, core, breathing, and nervous system, pelvic health can influence many aspects of how we move, function, and feel. I work with adults experiencing pelvic pain, bladder or bowel concerns, painful intimacy, hip, low back, or tailbone pain, abdominal or pelvic tension, and changes during perimenopause and menopause. I also welcome clients seeking a trauma-informed, whole-body approach, especially when symptoms have been persistent, complex, or difficult to resolve.
What a First Session Is Like
Your first visit is all about getting to know you and understanding your goals. We'll spend time talking about your health history, your current concerns, and how your symptoms are affecting your daily life. Together, we'll discuss your priorities and develop a personalized plan that feels comfortable and meaningful to you. A physical assessment may include evaluating your posture, breathing, movement, strength, and mobility. If a pelvic floor examination is appropriate, we'll discuss it beforehand, and it will only be performed with your informed consent. Many clients begin treatment without an internal examination, and we will always move at a pace that feels safe and respectful. You'll leave your first session with a better understanding of your body, answers to your questions, and practical strategies you can begin using right away.
