About Jessica
License #: 4353Hi, I’m Jessica LeAnn Smith, MS, LPC-MHSP, AS, a licensed therapist and owner of Smith Behavioral Health & Wellness, LLC. I help clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, stress, burnout, and life transitions. My approach is compassionate, trauma focused, culturally responsive, and rooted in the belief that healing happens when you feel safe, supported, and understood. I integrate evidence-based practices like CBT and mindfulness, along with Brainspotting and holistic wellness tools to support both emotional and nervous system healing. In our work together, you can expect a nonjudgmental space, practical tools you can use outside of sessions, and a therapist who will gently challenge you while honoring your pace. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, more connected to yourself, and more confident in how you move through life.
My Therapeutic Approach
I provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive care that helps clients move from survival mode into a greater sense of safety and stability. I integrate Brainspotting to support deeper emotional processing, along with CBT to address unhelpful thought patterns and strengthen coping skills. I also incorporate mindfulness, grounding techniques, and emotional regulation tools to help clients build capacity for distress tolerance and self-compassion. Therapy with me is a balance of insight and action—processing what hurts while building tools that support daily life.
Who I Help Best
I enjoy working with high-achieving professional women who are navigating life transitions while managing depression, anxiety, burnout, and chronic stress. Many of the clients I support are successful on the outside but internally feel emotionally exhausted, stuck in people-pleasing patterns, or overwhelmed by the pressure to hold it all together. Therapy is a space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and learn tools that support nervous system regulation, healthier boundaries, and sustainable emotional wellness.
What a First Session Is Like
The first session with me is a chance to exhale. It’s a space where you don’t have to perform, explain everything perfectly, or have it all figured out. We’ll talk about what’s been weighing on you, what you’ve been carrying, and what you want more of in your life, peace, clarity, confidence, rest, or emotional balance. I’ll ask gentle questions to understand your story, and we’ll move at a pace that feels safe. Before we end, we’ll name a few goals and I’ll offer grounding tools to help you feel supported after the session.
