About Julie
License #: 6372With over two decades of experience in the field of social work, I've had the opportunity to work with a wide range of people in many different settings - from medical and school environments to community-based and crisis-focused work. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the emotional weight people carry, especially when they're in caregiving roles or navigating major life challenges. Over the years, I've developed a strong foundation in working with trauma, grief, and loss - and I've learned how to hold space for people when life feels overwhelming or uncertain. My approach is compassionate and shaped by real-life experience. I aim to create a space where you don't have to have all the answers - just a willingness to show up as you are.

My Therapeutic Approach
I specialize in working people experiencing grief, loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. Here’s what you can expect when we work together: I’ll be real with you. No pretenses, no fluff. I believe that real, honest connection is where growth happens, so I promise to show up as my authentic self—and I’ll encourage you to do the same. I’ll always be honest with you, even if it’s tough to hear, because that’s how we make real progress. But don’t worry, I’ll also be your biggest cheerleader every step of the way. I’ll celebrate your wins, no matter how big or small, and I’ll be here to support you when things feel hard. We’re in this together, and I’m here to help you navigate your journey with honesty, compassion, and encouragement. My approach to couples counseling is rooted in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which is all about helping couples break out of negative patterns, connect on a deeper emotional level, and rebuild trust and intimacy. Relationships can be challenging. This is NORMAL, because we all carry wounds shaped by our pasts that we bring with us to our relationships. EFT encourages partners to share their emotions and vulnerabilities in a safe and supportive way, helping to create a stronger emotional bond and a more secure connection. I’m passionate about working with couples, no matter where they are in their relationship, and I love helping partners find their way back to each other.
