About Rachel
License #: 4714I’m a therapist, mother, and amateur baker. I became a therapist for people who are feeling anxious and disconnected from themselves because I know how unfulfilling it can be to live your life in that way. Sometimes, it can feel as if you’re on autopilot. Or you feel persistently on edge and tense. Maybe you’re constantly doing things for other people and you’re noticing just how burnt out you are. You’ve lost sight of who you really are and what you really need. But, you feel stuck and you’re not sure where to start. I’m here to help. I’m compassionate, nonjudgmental, and real. We’ll talk honestly about what you’re going through and work together to build strategies that help.

My Therapeutic Approach
I show up as my authentic self to each session because I believe that trust builds and healing happens within the genuine connection of a therapeutic relationship. You will not find me keeping a straight face, maintaining a serious disposition, and offering up the occasional “mmhmm, and how does that make you feel?” I bring levity through humor and laughter when appropriate, because at the end of the day, we are people connecting with people. Clinically speaking, I often meet each client with a tailored and integrative approach, combining elements of person-centered, psychodynamic, relational, and trauma-informed approaches. I am also trained in EMDR for those clients looking to heal from past traumatic experiences, and Exposure and Response Prevention for those struggling with OCD.
Who I Help Best
I have a passion for working with clients who struggle with OCD. The feeling of isolation, the fear and anxiety, the constant nagging of intrusive thoughts… it’s overwhelming and exhausting. And, there IS a way to break out of that cycle, together. I also love working with new and expecting moms because I know how overwhelming this season can be, even when it’s what you hoped for. The sleepless nights, the shift in your own personal identity, carrying the mental load – it’s a lot. I’ve been there. I also know firsthand how much support matters, and I’m here to help you feel like you again.
What a First Session Is Like
In our first session, we will start by getting to know each other. I will ask you various questions to gain an understanding of who you are, your history, and what brings you to therapy. We will also discuss what you are hoping to gain from therapy so we are on the same page regarding your treatment focus.
