Hello! I'm Nicole and I specialize in narcissistic abuse recovery, trauma healing, and relationship building for individuals and couples. My personal experiences with narcissistic abuse compelled me to learn everything I could about narcissism and how it effects others. Most importantly, I wanted to understand why some people get stuck in a cycle of narcissistic relationships and what they can do to break this cycle. I have over 15 years of clinical experience and established my private practice in 2017. I am licensed to practice in the states of Tennessee, Georgia, and North Carolina.

My name is Michael Venezia. I was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama. I began my career as a therapist in Huntsville 10 years ago and then moved to Atlanta 6 years ago to continue my counseling career. In my time here, I have engaged in intensive trainings for EMDR for my trauma clients as well as EFT for couples counseling. I have also completed trainings to incorporate IFS, DBT, Gottman, and other therapy models so that I could provide my clients with whatever therapy best suits their needs. I have really enjoyed working with clients using different modalities and seeing which ones work best for them to provide them the relief they are seeking. I am continuing to explore different modalities to learn and clients I could better serve to bring clients quality care. In my free time, I enjoy watching and playing sports when I can, trying new cooking recipes, binge watching tv shows, and exploring new places to travel to. If you have any questions about my background you’d like to know more about, we could always discuss that in a consultation.

EMDR Therapy in Atlanta, GA

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps people heal from trauma, anxiety, and other distressing experiences. Through guided bilateral stimulation, EMDR enables the brain to reprocess traumatic memories so they no longer cause intense emotional reactions.

Atlanta's rich history, diverse communities, and economic opportunities create a dynamic environment — but also unique mental health challenges. From Buckhead professionals to Sandy Springs families, finding culturally competent therapy that fits your life is essential.

Our Atlanta therapists who specialize in emdr therapy are licensed professionals with experience helping individuals navigate these challenges. In-person therapy at a Therapy Space location provides a private, comfortable environment where you can focus entirely on your healing journey. We have offices conveniently located in Sandy Springs.

Treatment Approaches

Atlanta emdr therapy therapists may use various evidence-based approaches including EMDR (8-phase protocol), Bilateral Stimulation, Adaptive Information Processing, Resource Development. During your first session, your therapist will work with you to determine the best approach for your specific needs and goals.

Why Choose In-Person EMDR Therapy?

While online therapy has its place, many people find that in-person emdr therapy therapy offers deeper connection and more effective treatment. Face-to-face sessions allow your therapist to pick up on non-verbal cues, and the dedicated therapy space helps you focus away from home distractions. Our Sandy Springs location sits in the heart of the Perimeter area, easily accessible from I-285 and GA-400 — making it convenient for professionals and families across north Atlanta.
