I’m Marilee, and as your counselor, I bring a lifetime of learning and experience with relationships to the counseling room. I am passionate about the marriage relationship and I know how critical it is to individual and family well-being. But relationships can be hard, even with the people you love.. I recognize the pain that comes from when our reality doesn't meet our expectations, and I love helping clients see new possibilities for their relationship. In addition to counseling, I have a Masters of Science in Family Studies and am an adjunct professor in the Educational Psychology department at the University of North Texas. Along with Parenting and Child Development, my favorite course to teach is Courtship & Marriage which focuses on relationships, and how they thrive when they are based on a foundation of trust, commitment, good communication, repair skills, and grace. It is this course which ultimately inspired me to pursue a second master's degree in Marriage & Family Therapy. Married for more than 3 decades, I am mom to four 'grown and flown' kids and “Rara” to 5 grandchildren whom I adore. When I’m not at work I enjoy pickleball, paddleboarding, home renovation, travel and spending time with friends and family.

Hi there, I'm Cara—a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified EMDR therapist with over 20 years of experience. I started out in the health and wellness field, training both myself and others to excel in their pursuit of physical fitness. However, I soon discovered the importance of mental and emotional health. Many of the physically fit individuals I worked with were unhappy, stressed or lonely. Over the years, I have pursued extensive training to treat a variety of mental health issues and have accumulated a wealth of knowledge from each of the hundreds of individuals I’ve had the opportunity to work with. It is my calling and passion to join others on their healing journey.

I am a somatic psychotherapist with over 30 years in the behavioral health field. I started in addictions and worked toward trauma and the body. I am licensed in multiple states, a supervisor for new LMSWs, and an assistant trainer for somatic experiencing across the U.S.

Hello! My name is Alysse Shropshire. I founded my practice as a result of my personal journey and professional commitment to healing. I grew up in a turbulent and dysfunctional environment that all too often did not feel safe. I lived with anxious and perfectionist ideas that if I could just be perfect then nothing bad could happen to me. My formative years were spent walking on eggshells and being broken down until I believed that I was not good enough. ​In recent years, as I've navigated the challenges of infertility, I have come to recognize the profound emotional and psychological toll of reproductive trauma. The struggle of trying to balance ambiguous grief with maintaining hope for the future. The anxiety that comes with having complete lack of control. Prior to completing her advanced degree, Eliza worked in Emergency and Trauma Centers in Georgia and the Dallas-Fort Worth Area. She has worked at Level I Trauma Centers within the Medical City and Piedmont Healthcare systems.
